YouTuber Narcyz Found Dead in Croatian River After Mysterious Disappearance

Nikodem Czyżewski, the YouTube sensation known as Narcyz, was last heard from on April 8, and now, tragedy has struck. His lifeless body was found in a river near Zagreb, Croatia, weeks after he disappeared during a solo adventure.

The 23-year-old Polish influencer, boasting over 455,000 subscribers, had traveled to Croatia in mid-March for seasonal work. As his family grew increasingly worried, Polish authorities launched a public appeal for information at the end of April, revealing he was believed to be in the Croatian capital.

Friends, family, and fans rallied together, flooding social media with desperate pleas for help. On May 7, Croatian officials confirmed the heartbreaking news: Narcyz's remains were recovered from the river. Marzena Szwed, a police spokesperson from his hometown of Gliwice, confirmed his identity.

“The investigation is under Croatian jurisdiction,” Marzena stated, emphasizing that local authorities are leading the inquiry into this tragic incident.

Details surrounding the cause of death remain shrouded in mystery. A post-mortem examination is set to determine how he died and whether foul play was involved. Polish officials are in close contact with their Croatian counterparts to facilitate necessary legal and forensic procedures.

Initially rising to fame with viral diss tracks and comedic parodies, Narcyz had carved out a significant online presence with nearly half a million YouTube subscribers and 13,000 followers on Instagram. The Polish content creator community has been flooded with messages of condolence as they mourn the loss of one of their own.
