David Hasselhoff Spotted in Wheelchair, Health Concerns Intensify

May 16 2026

David Hasselhoff was seen being wheeled around Los Angeles on Wednesday, and it’s not just a casual stroll—this is a health crisis brewing. The 73-year-old “Baywatch” icon looked frail and thin, leaving his physical therapy session with a noticeable bandage wrapped around his ankle.

Just weeks after undergoing knee and hip replacement surgeries, the sight of him in a wheelchair raises serious alarms. Dressed in a black hoodie and shorts, topped off with a gray baseball cap, he appeared to be struggling as he was assisted by his wife, Hayley Roberts, 45, who helped him into their waiting car.

While Hasselhoff's representatives have yet to comment on this latest sighting, the actor's health has been under scrutiny for some time. Last month, he was spotted using a walker during an outing in West Hills, Los Angeles, further igniting fears about his well-being.

In those photos, he donned a gray T-shirt and black sweatpants, accessorized with a beige Nashville hat and glasses. A blue and white sweatshirt draped over his shoulders added to the picture of someone who’s clearly not at their best.

Previously, in May 2025, Hasselhoff was also seen being pushed in a wheelchair at Los Angeles International Airport. On that occasion, he was en route to Cancun with Roberts and candidly told paparazzi about the pain he was experiencing and the impending knee surgery he had scheduled.

The couple has been together since 2011 and exchanged vows in a quaint Italian ceremony in July 2018. As fans rally behind the beloved star, the question remains: how much longer can the Hoff keep fighting this battle?
