Don Lemon Unleashes Fury on Trump: 'So Jealous of Barack Obama'
Don Lemon slammed Donald Trump, declaring the president is "so jealous of Barack Obama" that he "cannot stand it."
The journalist, who hosted a major network show from 2014 until 2023, reacted to Trump posting a manipulated image of Barack and Michelle Obama. The doctored photo depicted the Obamas waving from the steps of a graffiti-covered Air Force One.
The image featured slogans like "Yes We Can," "Obama," and "BLM," alongside Arabic graffiti reading "alhamdulillah," translating to "praise be to God." This comes after Trump previously shared a post depicting the Obamas as primates in a jungle.
Lemon, 60, accused Trump of being "obsessed" with Obama, asserting that the 80-year-old will never possess the qualities that define the former president. Trump seems to believe he surpasses Obama, but Lemon disagrees.
"Donald Trump is obsessed and you can see it," Lemon stated on The Don Lemon Show. "The stuff that he put out about Barack Obama with graffiti on the side of Air Force One is embarrassing. And I mean, it exposes himself at every turn."
Trump frequently references Obama in his speeches, fueling Lemon's critique. The TV host continued, "He is so jealous of Barack Obama, he cannot stand it. He will never have the class, the grace, the good looks, the education, the beautiful family, the beautiful wife. One wife, not three or four baby mamas. Not cheating, not with hookers."
Lemon didn't hold back, saying, "I don't know if it's hookers and what do you call them? Porn stars. None of that. Barack Obama doesn't have any of that s--t, but you have it. And you have the nerve to think that you're better than Barack Obama?"
He pointed out Trump's alleged infidelity, referencing claims by Stormy Daniels about an affair occurring just four months after Melania Trump gave birth to their son, Barron Trump, in 2006. Since these allegations surfaced in 2018, Trump has denied any wrongdoing.
Lemon's comments echoed sentiments expressed nearly a year earlier by ABC host Joy Behar, who claimed Trump is "jealous" of Obama. Behar stated, "The thing about him is he is so jealous of Obama because Obama is everything that he is not."
Behar and co-host Sunny Hostin elaborated on Obama's attributes that they believe Trump lacks: "Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and he can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green," Hostin added, emphasizing how Trump's jealousy drives him mad.
