Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy initiated the confrontation, stating, "A wise man once said in January of 2020, Iran never won a war but never lost a negotiation." Trump, seemingly unaware, asked, "Who said that?" Doocy replied, "Donald Trump," prompting Trump's defensive retort, "That's what I thought you would say."

Doocy pressed further, questioning how Trump would convince Americans skeptical of the agreement that it was a victory. Trump deflected, claiming critics would always find fault regardless of the outcome. He stated, "OK, it's very tough because. I know that no matter what..."

Trump rambled on about hypothetical scenarios where critics would still attack him, saying, "No matter what if they raise the white flag of surrender..." He concluded with a bizarre assertion that media outlets like The New York Times and CNN would declare Iran victorious.
