Karoline Leavitt Slammed as a 'Liar' Over 'Delusional' Trump Poll Claims
Karoline Leavitt's social media post about Donald Trump's approval ratings ignited a firestorm of accusations, branding her a liar.
Trump's recent poll numbers paint a grim picture. His approval ratings have hit rock bottom, with multiple surveys indicating widespread disapproval. A segment aired on Fox News revealed that 68% of Americans disapprove of Trump's performance, while only 31% approve. This comes as the 80-year-old president grapples with a "very unhealthy" relationship with a 34-year-old aide.

Despite the dismal statistics, Leavitt clung to a single poll that suggested a rebound for Trump. On June 26, she posted on X, claiming, "President Trump's Approval Rating Roars Back as Oil Prices Plummet." This poll, conducted by McLaughlin and Associates, reported that 50% of respondents approved of Trump's job performance, while 46% disapproved.
Critics wasted no time in dismantling her claims. One user blasted, "Why must you all lie? Oil prices have not plummeted, and his approval rating is so far underwater you need to be a scuba diver to find it." Another user called her delusional, sharing screenshots of 15 other polls showing that over half of respondents disapprove of Trump, with some polls indicating disapproval rates as high as 62%.

Another critic pointed out the disconnect between Leavitt's claims and reality, stating, "Overall approval ratings are still very low. Any uptick is not concurrent with oil prices—gasoline takes weeks to catch up." They also noted that the Strait of Hormuz was open and that the U.S. wasn't financially supporting Iran, referencing a war that should never have occurred.
Leavitt attempted to defend her position, but the backlash continued. One user remarked, "The lies still flow from you after maternity leave," while another stated, "Just because you feel his approval rating has improved does not mean it is true." A fifth critic bluntly declared, "She's lying."
Trump's approval ratings have indeed plummeted to historic lows. A recent Marquette Law School Poll revealed his approval rating has nosedived to just 38%. Confidence in his economic leadership has also taken a hit, with only 30% approving of his handling of the economy. When it comes to inflation and the cost of living, a mere 22% expressed approval, and only 19% approved of his management of fuel prices.
