The Duchess of Sussex unleashed a series of intimate family photos on Instagram, showcasing moments from Althorp, the ancestral estate where Diana spent her formative years.

One striking image features Princess Lilibet, aged 5, wandering through a grassy field in a dress, while another captures Prince Archie, aged 7, barefoot in shorts.
Diana rests on a secluded island at Oval Lake within Althorp, a sprawling 15,000-acre estate in Northamptonshire, England, now under the ownership of her brother, Charles Spencer. This burial site remains off-limits to the public.

While the burial site is closed to visitors, the estate typically opens its grounds during summer. However, it was shut down on July 10 and 11, coinciding with Harry's family's visit.

Diana tragically passed away in August 1997 due to a car crash in Paris at the age of 36.

Harry and Markle previously visited Oval Lake in 2022, marking the 25th anniversary of her death. He recounted this emotional experience in his memoir, “Spare.”
“At long last, I was bringing the girl of my dreams home to meet mum,” he expressed.

Harry noted that Markle sought clarity and guidance as she knelt and touched Diana's grave.

The Instagram carousel also featured snapshots from the family's trip to Portugal, including Markle in a black swimsuit at the beach and Harry playfully tossing Lilibet into a pool while Archie relaxed nearby.

Additional images included Archie sitting in a plane cockpit with pilots and Markle sunbathing with their rescue beagle, Mamma Mia.
A candid black-and-white photo of Markle and Harry laughing made the cut as well.

“Summer Holiday ☀️,” she captioned the collection.

Buckingham Palace confirmed earlier this month that Charles and Queen Camilla hosted Harry, Markle, and their children at Highgrove House. This marked the first reunion between Charles and his grandchildren in four years.

No photos from this reunion at the king’s private residence in Gloucestershire were released.
This visit followed speculation about whether Markle and the children would travel to London due to security concerns.

Despite the positive developments, sources revealed that Charles, aged 77, ensured a “witness” was present during the July 10 reunion—his wife, Camilla.

“The queen was there for a reason,” royal writer Robert Jobson stated. “To make sure that everything was witnessed.”
Charles’ cautious approach comes after the Sussexes have revealed royal family secrets and allegations in their infamous 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, the 2022 Netflix docu-series “Harry & Meghan,” and Harry’s memoir “Spare.”
