RFK Jr. Faces Backlash for 'Outrageous' Trump Praise
During a recent address at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed unexpected admiration for Donald Trump, stating he had “drank the Kool-Aid” regarding the former president's capabilities. This marked a significant shift from his previous criticisms of Trump and his supporters, whom he once labeled as “belligerent idiots.”
Kennedy described Trump as possessing “encyclopedic, molecular knowledge” across a diverse array of topics. He recounted a memorable moment when they shared a meal of McDonald’s on Trump’s plane during the 2024 campaign, which led to an impromptu geography lesson.
“We started talking about Syria,” Kennedy recalled, “and he grabbed a placemat, flipped it over, and with a Sharpie, drew an accurate map of the Middle East.” This anecdote stood in stark contrast to Trump’s past claims of never having drawn anything in his life, including a controversial birthday card for Jeffrey Epstein.
Continuing his praise, Kennedy noted that Trump detailed the troop strength of various countries along their borders on that makeshift map, challenging Kennedy’s preconceived notions about Trump’s knowledge base.
He further asserted that Trump possesses an “extraordinary depth of knowledge” regarding the inner workings of government agencies and an “instinct for making good choices.” In a bold statement, Kennedy suggested that Trump may even surpass his uncle, John F. Kennedy, in understanding the dynamics of power within the White House.
Despite Kennedy's glowing remarks, Trump has a history of confusing names and places, raising concerns among health experts and former officials about his cognitive abilities.
Social media reactions were swift and critical, with users on X mocking Kennedy for his comments. One user labeled his statements as “asinine BS,” while another remarked on the “genuinely crazy” nature of what they perceived as North Korean-style hero worship unfolding in real time.
