Pamela Anderson Slams ‘Baywatch’ Reboot, No Call for Cameo After 30 Years

Jul 25 2026

Pamela Anderson dropped a bombshell: no one from the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot has reached out to her for a cameo nearly three decades after she left the original show.

“No one’s reached out to me,” she stated bluntly. “I don’t know much about it.”

While the 59-year-old actress remains in the dark, producers did make overtures to her sons, Brandon and Dylan Lee, about potential behind-the-scenes involvement.

“I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don’t think they had a meeting of the minds,” she explained. “I’m not sure what happened there, but I wish them well.”

Anderson, who portrayed lifeguard C.J. Parker for five seasons from 1992 to 1997, has zero interest in returning to the beach. “It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach,” she said. “I would have been there anyway.”

Reflecting on her iconic role that catapulted her to fame, she acknowledged, “everything I’ve done has led me to here,” but firmly stated she has “no plans” to revisit the franchise.

When asked if she’d be curious about C.J. Parker’s fate decades later, Anderson admitted she might have been more receptive if her sons were involved in the project.

“If my kids were involved, I probably would have listened to them,” she said.

Instead of looking back, Anderson is focused on new challenges. “I think I’ve just got to keep on seeing what else is out there,” she explained. “I’ve already done that. Now is my time to really play with different characters.”

The actress is contemplating a return to the stage and aims to make “really bold choices.”

“I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself. And so I’m trying to do things I haven’t done in the past.”

A representative for Fox did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

Anderson’s remarks come on the heels of original “Baywatch” stars David Chokachi, Kelly Packard, and Michael Bergin being spotted filming scenes for the reboot in Venice, California. Shauni McClain is also set to reprise her role.

The new series features Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, and Stephen Amell as an adult Hobie Buchannon and is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

The original “Baywatch” aired for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001.
