Trump Goes Ballistic in Rant Over New York Times' Iran War Claims
Donald Trump unleashed a furious tirade, branding the New York Times "treasonous" over claims that his war against Iran has achieved little. The president's rage erupted after a report suggested that nearly 100 days of conflict resulted in minimal change.
In a series of explosive posts on Truth Social, Trump targeted the newspaper's credibility, labeling its reporters "corrupt and unethical cowards." He threatened to bolster his multi-billion-dollar lawsuit against the Times, citing what he called "false and ridiculous reporting."

The 80-year-old president reacted to an article by Neil MacFarquhar, which questioned the effectiveness of the military actions taken against Iran. The headline read, “What Changed After Almost Four Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much.”
MacFarquhar's piece highlighted that the U.S. and Iran had only reached a vague memorandum of understanding, with skeptics baffled by the lack of significant transformation. The report pointed out that Iran's nuclear program remains intact and that the current deal fails to address its ballistic missile capabilities.
Iran's proxies continue to pose threats in the region, while hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah persist in Lebanon. Despite new leadership, Iran's regime has weathered the storm of war.

Trump's first outburst came just before 5 PM on Sunday. He declared, "The headline in the Corrupt and Failing New York Times: 'What Changed After Almost 4 Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much.' REALLY? Their Military is DONE, their Navy is GONE, their Air Force is GONE, their Launching Pads, Missiles, Drones and Manufacturing of same, is almost GONE, their top two sets of Leaders are GONE, their Inflation is at 250%, their Economy is BROKEN, their Soldiers aren’t being paid, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN, THE OIL IS GUSHING, and the U.S. Stock Market and Jobs are at record HIGHS."
He concluded with a defiant message: "That’s what’s CHANGED, you corrupt and unethical cowards, and MORE!!! President DJT."

Less than two hours later, Trump escalated his attack on the New York Times in another post. He stated, "The way the Corrupt and Failing New York Times is covering stories on a very battered and beat up Iran, through FAKE & MADE UP 'FACTS' is, in my opinion, 'TREASONOUS.'
"I will be adding all of their false and ridiculous reporting to my multi Billion Dollar lawsuit against them. They are Criminals! President DJT," he asserted.
By 8:30 PM, Trump remained incensed, sharing a post from Senator Lindsey Graham that praised his initial comments as "spot on." Trump added emphatically: "The Failing New York Times is CORRUPT."
