CNN Panelist Unleashes Fury, Calls Trump a 'Sweet-Talking Conman' in Explosive Rant

Keith Boykin unleashed a blistering attack on Donald Trump, branding him a "sweet-talking conman" during a fiery segment on CNN.

Boykin's outrage erupted in response to Caroline Sunshine, a former Trump spokesperson, who attempted to define socialism. On CNN’s NewsNight With Abby Phillip, Boykin expressed disbelief at Sunshine's characterization, suggesting it mirrored Trump's own rhetoric.

Sunshine, now the communications director for Trump’s 2024 campaign, likened socialism to a "bad boy" who makes grand promises to a teenage daughter. She claimed parents recognize the danger, saying, “That guy is trouble. He’s a liar.”

Before she could elaborate, Boykin interjected, “That’s what Donald Trump is.”

Sunshine continued her argument, stating that without ownership in society, people are drawn to the allure of the "sweet-talking bad boy." Boykin seized the moment again, declaring, “Donald Trump is literally the sweet-talking conman who promises everything and can’t deliver.”

Boykin reiterated his point, emphasizing, “You are really talking about Donald Trump.”

Sunshine dismissed Boykin's comments and shifted focus, claiming socialism is pushed by "failed academics." Boykin shot back, “Oh my gosh… You’re talking about Donald Trump,” but Phillip quickly changed the subject.

The discussion on socialism ignited when the panelists analyzed candidates endorsed by New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, who achieved significant victories in House primary races. The conversation highlighted the growing divide within the Democratic Party between traditional Democrats and Democratic socialists.

Mamdani backed three congressional candidates who triumphed on election night: democratic socialists Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier, along with progressive Brad Lander.

The debate intensified after they played a clip of veteran Democratic strategist James Carville asserting that certain factions do not support Democrats and wish them ill. Carville suggested that Mamdani should ensure candidates running under his banner identify as Democratic Socialists rather than using the Democratic Party as a guideline.

Carville expressed frustration with the party, stating he is "done" with it. Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, has faced harsh criticism from Trump, who labeled him a “100% Communist lunatic” and a “self-proclaimed New York City Communist” on social media.

Trump also reacted to election night results on Truth Social, mocking Mamdani for endorsing “3 solid Communists” and claiming he received applause from the "Fake News Media."
